The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a reduction in traffic utilising many ferry routes, particularly on the Short Sea straights to and from Dover. As a consequence of this the Dover Harbour Board have served notice to ALL ferry companies using the port (P&O & DFDS) that there will be a £5 / €6 increase in their wharfage charges across all freight unit types. This wharfage charge will be implemented on Artic’s, Lorries, Unaccompanied trailers and vans from 19th July 2020 for both import and export traffic travelling through the port of Dover. Read More.
