Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

(This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Motis Ireland Limited’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 30 June 2025.)

1. Our Organisation

Motis Ireland Limited is an agent providing Freight Ferry Services to the European haulage and logistics industry.

We do not manufacture goods and we do not operate complex labour-intensive supply chains. Our operations involve:

- Booking and issuing ferry tickets

- Providing associated logistics services

- Managing customer support through our offices in Newry (HQ), Dover, Folkestone England, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy and Romania

Our activities are largely office-based, administrative and digital, with a low risk of modern slavery.

2. Our Supply Chain

As a service-based agent, our supply chain is limited to:

- Ferry operators and port service providers

- IT and software partners

- Professional services (finance, legal, support services)

- Office and facility providers

These suppliers are predominantly regulated UK and EU companies subject to strong labour standards. We assess our modern slavery risk as low, but we remain vigilant.

3. Our Policy on Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking

Motis is committed to preventing modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking in every part of our operations. We maintain:

- A zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery

- A commitment to working only with suppliers who uphold legal and ethical labour practices

- A requirement that staff act ethically, transparently and with integrity

4. Due Diligence & Supplier Standards

Because we operate as an agent with limited supply chain exposure, our due diligence is tailored accordingly. We carry out proportionate checks by:

- Engaging only reputable, established ferry operators and service providers

- Including ethical and legal compliance expectations in our supplier relationships

- Conducting reviews when onboarding new partners

- Monitoring industry developments and raising issues with suppliers where necessary

If concerns were ever identified, we would investigate, escalate to the relevant authorities and take appropriate remedial action.

5. Risk Assessment

Our risk exposure is considered low due to:

- The nature of our business (ticketing and logistics services rather than physical production or labour provision)

- The regulatory environment of the UK and EU transport sector

- Long-standing relationships with high-compliance service providers

Nonetheless, we remain alert to potential risks in areas such as third-party service providers or recruitment in some overseas offices.

6. Training & Awareness

We provide training to relevant employees to ensure an understanding of:

- Modern slavery and human trafficking indicators

- Reporting mechanisms

- Our zero-tolerance approach to unethical labour practices

Staff are encouraged to report concerns confidentially.

7. Reporting & Whistleblowing

Motis maintains channels for raising concerns, including suspicions related to labour abuse or worker exploitation. We protect whistle-blowers from retaliation.

8. Approval

This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors and will be reviewed annually.
