The first period of annual dry docking on the Larne - Cairnryan route has ended on schedule with European Highlander re-joining European Causeway for the 04:00 departures earlier this morning. Please note that the Friday 7-sailings schedule has also restarted today. This schedule remains subject to change. Kent Access Permit Service Indefinitely Suspended

We are pleased to inform you that yesterday the UK government announced the closure of the Kent Access Permit (KAP) service and the M20 moveable barrier has been stood down. This comes as freight volumes between the UK and the EU continue to operate at normal levels. The removal of the KAP means less paperwork for hauliers, making it quicker and easier to cross the border. From 6 April all drivers arriving in England from abroad will need to take a COVID-19 test if they are staying in the UK for more than 2 days. They need to take the first test within the first 2 days, then further tests every 3 days. This will apply to HGV drivers and their passenger, drivers of vans and other light goods vehicles. It has been announced that lorry drivers travelling from the UK to France are no longer required to provide a negative Covid-19 lateral flow test. However, the UK may soon be requiring hauliers travelling into the UK from the EU to provide a negative Covid-19 test, so our advice remains to continue to get tested anyway, to make your return journey far easier if this requirement does come in. The changes are as follows: MRNs - All vehicles arriving with more than 5 MRNs and no enveloppe logistique will be redirected to the Driver Reception Building at the relevant port and processed when you have created the enveloppe. Parking is limited outside the Driver Reception Building and non-compliant vehicles may be asked to leave
