The approach roads to Dover are all clear, with both the M20 and A256/A2 route from Manston Airport also clear.
Both Dover and Calais ports are free flowing.
We are currently checking-in for:
- Dover-Calais: 09:20 - On Time
- Calais-Dover: 09:35 - On Time
Please note that all freight drivers travelling to France require a negative covid-19 test. Those who are already in possession of a negative test result (taken within 72 hours of travel) can continue to the port as usual and will be put on the first available sailing.
Those who arrive in Dover without a test will be sent to Manston Airport for testing (there are currently no testing facilities at the port). The postcode for Manston: CT12 5BL
The government has also opened new testing sites across the country to help you prepare for your journey across the Channel.
The sites are at motorway service stations and truck stops across the country. You can find out the locations of these sites and follow updates here.
These sites are in addition to the support being offered by the Government to help firms establish their own testing centres at depots – which is still encouraged.
Please use the link below to check you have all of the paperwork you need to cross the border between Great Britain and the EU in a heavy goods vehicle, including the Kent Access Permit, and details on how to access COVID testing facilities:

We will continue to regularly update our sailing and port congestion information on our dedicated social media channel twitter.com/motisireland
