Please see the latest update regarding the gas leak affecting the Motis site at Dover Western Docks.
There has been no change to the current service status. The major gas leak has been located and repaired, and engineers continue to carry out safety checks along the gas line to identify and address any further issues. The Gas levels are dropping, and we are hoping to regain access to the building in the near future.
The situation remains outside of Motis’ operational control, and we continue to work closely with the relevant site teams and authorities while these checks are ongoing.
Current Service Status
Parking: Parking for account customers is now open, subject to availability. Alternative parking is available at Motis Cheriton Parc, Cheriton High Street, Folkestone, CT19 4QJ.
Facilities: Reception, café, showers and toilets within the main building remain unavailable. An external toilet facility is available.
Freeflow Customs Services: Motis Freeflow Customs Services remain fully operational. Customers should not experience any change to to the level of service.
Import/Export Clearance: Services provided for Inventory linked Import & Export and Customs clearance and subsequent discharge of T1 Transit documents are still available at the Freight clearance Facility at the Western Docks but unfortunately, we are not in a position to handle ATA/EATA Carnet movements at this time.
