We would like to inform you about the latest updates regarding UK Government's position on border controls for certain commodities deemed to present a medium to high risk to the UK. These checks will be implemented at UK ports, including those operated by ABP, such as the P&O Ferries terminal in Hull.
New Charges Effective from 15th June 2024: At the Hull Terminal, all import laden units will incur a charge of £12.79 per unit. This BCP charge will be collected via MCP (Destin8) if you or your agent are a Destin8 badge holder. Alternatively, Motis Freeflow can assist with this service, or it can be managed via P&O Ferries. P&O will charge for all laden GVMS shipments. All charges invoiced by P&O to Motis will be passed on to the Motis account holder who made the booking.
What the Fixed Charge Covers:
The fixed sum per import laden unit covers the labour to open the trailer or container, remove cargo for inspection, and re-stow the cargo post inspection.
Additional Charges (if applicable):
- Full Restow (Trailer/Container): Includes labour and consumables - £200
- Hand Ball (Trailer/Container): Includes labour and consumables - £710
- Rework (Per Pallet): Includes labour and consumables - £60
- **P&O Ferries shunt or escort direct charge to and from P&O Hull to BCP Hull - £70
Please note: This is not an exhaustive list, and ABP reserves the right to review on a case-by-case basis.
